How do I sign-up for membership online?

Simple. Just click on the “Join the Chamber” tab in the main menu and select a tier. Next you’ll complete a registration form and pay the membership fee. If you’re still not sure, you can click here to download our New Members guide.

How long will my membership last?

AACC memberships last for one year and last from the date you sign up to the same date the following year.

Do I need to already own my own business to become a member?

No, individuals that do not currently have their own business are welcome to join. When filling out the membership application simply put “n/a” for question that ask about your business.

Do I need to have an NAICS code to be a member?

NAICS codes are not required for membership however the AACC recommends all business owners obtain one.

What are NAICS Codes?

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) classifies business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. economy. The NAICS industry codes define establishments based on the activities in which they are primarily engaged. Click here to find out more about obtaining your NAICS code.

What do I do if my industry isn’t in the list of directory options?

Simply choose the option that most closely fits your business and email us at [email protected] so that we can add a new category to our directory that fits your business.

How do I know what type of business transactions I do?

  • B2B (business-to-business), also known as e-biz, is the exchange of products, services or information (aka e-commerce) between businesses, rather than between businesses and consumers.
  • Business to consumer (B2C) is business or transactions conducted directly between a company and consumers who are the end-users of its products or services. The business-to-consumer as a business model differs significantly from the business-to-business model, which refers to commerce between two or more businesses.

Do I need to be a certified minority enterprise to become a member?

No, however the AACC recommends all members become a certified minority enterprise.

Why do you want to know my companies annual gross income?

The AACC works closely with the City of Philadelphia’s Commerce Department and annual gross income is a figure in which the Commerce Department likes to know about all business owners.
