In this role, Moody will host branding and marketing masterclasses and serve as a senior advisor to support the Chamber’s 2026 goals, membership growth, and brand visibility
PHILADELPHIA – The African-American Chamber of Commerce of PA, NJ & DE (AACC) has announced that effective immediately, Philadelphia-born hip-hop artist and entrepreneur Chill Moody has been appointed to serve as the AACC’s inaugural Brand Ambassador-in-Residence. In this role, Moody will serve as a senior advisor to the AACC, supporting the Chamber’s 2026 goals, membership growth, and brand visibility. Over the next few months, he will also host several branding and marketing masterclasses, in addition to office hours, to provide mentorship, direction, and support for members and solopreneurs seeking to grow their brand, strengthen their storytelling strategies, and modernize their marketing techniques.
“We are thrilled to announce Chill Moody as the AACC’s inaugural Brand Ambassador-in-Residence,” said AACC President & CEO Regina A. Hairston. “In today’s ever-evolving digital landscape, it is crucial that small businesses adapt and take advantage of new techniques to engage with potential customers and stakeholders. This is even more important now with the countless business opportunities in Philadelphia this year, including but not limited to the FIFA World Cup, the MLB All Star Game Week, the PGA Championship, America 250, Wawa Welcome America and more.”
Hairston added, “In the past, the Chamber has provided opportunities for cohort members of our Women’s Business Accelerator to participate in Moody’s ‘We Golf Now’ events, offering them a great experience. With his extensive marketing and branding skills, in addition to his success as an entrepreneur, we are confident that Moody will help Black-owned businesses across the Greater Philadelphia region tap into the power of narrative building and strategic storytelling to reach their unique goals.”
Born in West Philadelphia, Moody attended Overbrook High School and later Millersville University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations. Recognized for his ability to translate culture into opportunity, he has built a career bridging creative storytelling with real-world economic outcomes. As the founder of the “nicethings” lifestyle brand, (music, beverages, apparel, content production and consulting) he has developed consumer brands that blend authenticity, strategy, and social impact.
His work in the beverage space includes “nicethings Tequila Transfusion,” a ready-to-drink cocktail that reinvents a golf-club classic while supporting youth programming through his nonprofit. Moody is also the founder of We Golf Now, a nonprofit organization committed to making the sport and business of golf more accessible to Black and Brown youth through education, mentorship, and exposure to career pathways. His children’s book, “Gia the Golfer,” published by We Golf Now, extends this mission through storytelling centered on confidence, resilience, and belonging.
“As I step into this role, I’m eager to honor the Chamber’s longstanding legacy while helping shape a clear, modern voice that supports the next generation of Black business growth across our region and beyond,” said Moody. “The AACC has been an early supporter of my entrepreneurial achievements, including ‘We Golf Now’ and ‘The nicethings Invitational.’ I know firsthand how important and impactful the AACC is to our community. I’ve spent my career at the intersection of culture, business, and community, and in this role, I’ll have the opportunity to bring these worlds together in a meaningful way.”
In addition to his entrepreneurial work, Chill Moody is an accomplished recording artist and was appointed Philadelphia’s Music Ambassador by Philadelphia City Council in recognition of his cultural contributions and commitment to community development. He also was the inaugural Community Artist in Residence at The Mann Center for the Performing Arts. His creative platforms – including the interview series “I Bet On Myself” and digital concert series “Moody’s Klubbhouse” – spotlight founders, musicians, artists, and leaders who take non-traditional paths to success.
The African-American Chamber of Commerce of PA, NJ & DE (AACC) exists to support, advocate for, and elevate African American-owned businesses and professionals across the region. Through access, policy, and partnership, the Chamber is committed to transforming opportunity into action for sustainable economic advancement.
