Philadelphia, PA – October 7, 2024 – The African American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dinah Hayward as the new Director of Membership and Membership Engagement, effective August 2024. With an extensive background in member engagement, community outreach, and strategic relationship building, Dinah brings a wealth of experience and a strong passion for driving organizational growth.
Dinah joins AACC following her successful tenure at the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, where she managed a portfolio of over 500 members and played a key role in revenue growth and membership retention. Her proven ability to develop innovative solutions for member needs, facilitate member programs, and foster collaboration will be instrumental in enhancing AACC’s membership experience.
Since joining the AACC, Dinah has immediately taken charge of managing the Chamber’s annual membership renewal process, streamlining communications, and implementing management reporting protocols. Her leadership has already had a positive impact on the organization, ensuring smooth membership renewals and enhancing engagement with both new and existing members.
“Dinah’s expertise in membership engagement and her commitment to creating meaningful connections will be invaluable as we continue to grow our community and provide resources to African American businesses,” said Regina A. Hairston, President of the AACC. “We are excited to have her on board, and we look forward to the contributions she will make in strengthening our membership base and engagement strategies.”
Dinah holds a B.A. in Communications from Millersville University with a minor in African American Studies, and she is set to complete a Certificate of Fundraising from Temple University in 2024. Her effective communication skills, dedication to economic development, and a record of accomplishment of community service make her an ideal leader for this role.
